And even with all that, you'd really need a wider rear axle such as a fabricated 9" race axle, so that you could run shocks outboard of the frame rails rather inboard as they are now.Description The Ultimate Off-Road Performance Package for the 2019+ Ford Ranger. A spring under axle setup would be ideal, at which point you could have 16" or more travel out of the rear with a correct sized shock and a bed cage. If you wanted to gain real, usable travel from the rear of the Ranger, you'd need a custom application similar to Class 2000 race trucks. 2, a traditional longer shackle would contact the rear bumper mount support on the frame at full bump. That's why we give you Raptor bump stops in the kit, because they're much shorter than the Ranger's, and thus giving you back some inches of up-travel you lose with a taller leaf pack. 1, your bump stop is under the frame, taking up precious inches of travel room between the top spring and the frame rail. Ford decided to mount the leaf springs directly under the frame rails on this truck, and placed the shackle right up against the rear bumper mount support on the frame. The correct way of increasing travel numbers in the rear is to install a longer leaf spring, typically paired with a longer shackle that's been moved back. Ford didn't make it easy to increase travel in the rear of this truck. We made these for on and off-road comfort + load carrying capacity. But that wasn't the intended purpose of this leaf pack. It is engineered to retain factory ride height with improved ride quality. This leaf pack is NOT designed to lift the truck. Whether you prefer long, wide-open desert runs, or tight rocky trails, the standard progressive pack is the best option available! Built for speed and articulation, this leaf pack is the ideal setup for anyone looking to increase the performance of their rear suspension in any kind of terrain. The Standard progressive leaf spring kit features 10 leaf springs, in a progressive design that makes for a smooth, predictable ride around town, but offers superb off-road performance when it really counts – in the dirt. The factory rear shackle and bushing is re-used. This kit includes everything needed to replace your factory leaf springs. Together, we developed this progressive leaf pack to improve the ride of your Ranger, and increase the payload it can carry while still holding ride height. As one of the leading off-road racing suspension companies in existence, Deaver has been engineering and offering performance leaf spring systems for all kinds of vehicles for decades. Our Progressive leaf spring kit aims to eliminate any issues with the OEM rear suspension of the Ranger, by replacing the entire leaf spring with a progressive leaf pack developed in conjunction with Deaver Suspension. It also does not handle additional payload weight very well, causing the rear of the truck sag when loaded down. The OEM design uses a single linear rate leaf spring with an overload spring below it, making for a generally uncomfortable ride whether you’re on the street or off-road. The 2019+ Ford Ranger factory leaf springs leave much room for improvement. They will also be available for local pickup if you're near us in Southern California.
